Aaron Archer signs with CSU-Pueblo

PDF  Archer13Aaron Archer, center forward for the Rush Pikes Peak Boys U18 Nike team, put pen to paper to sign for CSU-Pueblo to play soccer starting in Fall 2013. Aaron, who lives in Pueblo and attends Pueblo East High School has spent many years at Rush Pikes Peak since the age of 11, taking a couple of seasons playing in Pueblo when he was younger. Roy Stanley, head coach of the Thunder Wolves, has been tracking Aaron for a number of years and seen his progression as a very accomplished forward and he is very excited to have Aaron commit to his program.

Aaron said “I'm excited about going to CSU-P knowing they are going to be a strong team this upcoming season and to be a part of the team is a great accomplishment. I owe everything to the Rush organization, they have developed me into the technical, physical, and mental player I am. All thanks goes out to the coaches and players at Rush who have helped me push to my full potential."

Head coach of the U18 Nike team, Nik Penn, said “Aaron has been working exceptionally hard in the last year, and we brought him up from the Swoosh team to the Nike team only in the Spring. Aaron used this as a stepping stone to raise his game and even after making seven changes to the squad this summer he has solidified his place as one of the leading forwards on the team.”

Aaron is the first of many of the Nike team that are currently playing in Super League, the highest league in the state, that are committing to colleges across the country. Congratulations Aaron and best of luck next year!
