Rush Pikes Peak Meets Lindsey Horan
In the midst of Germany’s semifinal romp over Brazil, a group of Rush Pikes Peak players met Lindsey Horan, one of Rush’s most successful players.
Horan was in Colorado between the end of her professional season at Paris Saint – Germain (PSG) and the start of World Cup training camp for the United States Under – 20 National Team.
After describing her development within Rush and her time at PSG, Horan fielded questions from the players. The group was most excited to hear about the goal she scored against United States Women's National Team goalkeeper Hope Solo when she played with the Colorado Rush W-League team a few years ago.
One of the hallmarks of Rush is the Tutor program, which gives players the option of training with any team in the club outside of team training. Many of the players in attendance have participated in the Tutor program and had the opportunity to hear about how much extra training helped Horan meet her goals of being on the national team and playing professionally overseas.
“Lindsey is the best example for these young players in terms of commitment, dedication, and setting the standard for exemplifying Rush’s core values and who a Rush player is,” said Brian Lux, Rush’s Director of Soccer Operations. “We are very thankful that Lindsey took time out of her busy schedule to meet with our players. They have and will continue to be inspired by her.”
