Brian Lux, Director of Coaching - Youth Girls
Brian grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, where he received League MVP honors his senior year while attending Lakewood High School. He attended Division I Drury University for 2 years before finishing his collegiate playing career at Division I University of Denver. He played with the Fort Wayne Fever of the PDL and was captain of the Denver Kickers (NPSL) team that won back to back U-23 National Championships and a runner-up finish at the US Amateur Cup. As a youth player, Brian was an original member of the Lakewood Fury/Colorado Rush Nike '80/'81 team that won 6 consecutive state championships, 2 regional championships and a 3rd place finish at nationals. He also played with the Colorado ODP team that won the regional championship. Brian holds a USSF "A" License, USSF Goalkeeper License and USSF Youth License as well as an NSCAA National Diploma. He is a Colorado ODP Staff Coach and is currently on the Regional Staff for Region II as well as being an assistant coach for the Men's soccer team at Colorado College. He has previously been an assistant coach for both the Men's and Women's teams at the United States Air Force Academy. Brian received his Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Denver.
Brian oversees the Youth Girls division which includes the U9-U12 Girls as well as the School of Excellence and the Thunder program. He also is the Technical Director - Caribbean and Director of Coaching - Goalkeeping for Rush Soccer - SPI.
