After waiting patiently for soccer to come back to life, the Rush Pikes Peak G05 Rush wasted no time in getting back on the field and doing things not as normal as usual.  

 

The summer started and normal practice was not quite normal....no sharing the soccer ball....which is actually coach Nik's mantra  "SHARE the BALL - PLAY TOGETHER". ..With restriction lifted in the summer, training went from socially distanced, to small groups to soccer as we once knew it. back to normal.....well for a few weeks at least.

 

The season was upon them and the first game was to be played in Boulder.  Excellent, back to normal.....oh wait, no spectators on the sideline, and all players and coaches had to wear masks at all times when playing...I guess it is 2020.  After some hesitations and some puzzled looks, out the girls went and won their opening game of the season, masks an all.

 

The season trotted along and then it hit.....the SUMMER, SNOW STORM...yep snowing in the summer.  Sunday 91F and sunny, Tuesday 32F and snowing....that's not normal???  Practice canceled?...heck no - G05 joined by the B06 and B07 went hiking in the winter wonderland in the mountains and had a huge snowball fight...that's normal right????

 

We are not sure what is next, but the G05 team is ready!!!!  Ready to take the challenge head-on and overcome whatever the next normal is
