Goalkeeper Training Program Guidelines and Curriculum
Goalkeepers will need to make sure that they are properly equipped for health and safety reasons (appropriate footwear, goalkeeper gloves, adequate fluids etc.).
In addition to the in-person training sessions, Goalkeepers will also be given a training program to conduct at home that will focus on the physical and technical components of the position. Training exercises with regards to ball familiarity (technical) and strength and conditioning (physical) will be available to view and conduct allowing player’s additional opportunities to develop their ability.
All Goalkeepers attending the sessions are required to sign up on the Goalkeeping Teamsnap distribution list allowing the Director of Goalkeeping to send updates, alerts or cancellations. To receive an invitation to the Teamsnap distribution list, please contact Rick Smith at [email protected].
